I was going to bring it home when I suddenly heard it say it needed to hide. Then, it told me it had a magic key.

The next morning, I brought it out to play. Suddenly there was an eclipse. It made it's key shine as bright as the sun. While that was happening, it started to rain and it made a pool or quick sand as sticky as tape. The rabbit sank but came out because I saved it and we became very good friends.Joey Khor Jia Enhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02219884558970210417noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9095378.post-67827731034712567162011-01-11T17:29:00.001+08:002011-01-11T17:29:40.477+08:00A Lettter to Suzanne Williams, Joey's favourite author

Lettter to Suzanne Williams
Originally uploaded by joeykhor03
To: Suzanne Williams

Dear Suzanne Williams, I have read all the Princess Power books and the Goddess Girls books. I was in Hokaido. I had an appointment with my friends to make a snowball as big as my father. It was colossal! Then we had a snow ball fight and I won! We even built a snowman. Next, I went to lankawi. I made a sandcastle, a sand me and a sand statue of me. I rode a banana boat and swam in a lake. I hope my next trip will be as fun.Joey Khor Jia Enhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02219884558970210417noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9095378.post-11335051930769231652010-11-25T20:26:00.003+08:002010-11-25T20:33:29.418+08:00My first attempt at fractured talesOnce upon a time, there was a girl named Cinderella. She had 2 sisters, the elder sister Genessa was kind of like Cinderella. But Cathleen was the opposite. She was the worse shrew in the country.

One day, the prince had a ball. Cinderella's fairy god mother helped Cinderella and Genessa dress with magic. Cathleen was upset and told herself she would be nicer so that next time Cinderella's god mother would dress her too. At the ball, the prince was struck dumb by Cinderella and Genessa's beauty. He told them he could have over nine thousand and ten hundred wives. He married them and they all lived very happily.Joey Khor Jia Enhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02219884558970210417noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9095378.post-83899499941358685012010-11-25T20:16:00.001+08:002010-11-25T20:19:03.929+08:00Humpty Dumpty - my first poemHumpty Dumpty stood on a mat
Humpty Dumpty slipped and he sat
He clutched his bottom coz it hurts so bad
And off he went wailing for his dadJoey Khor Jia Enhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02219884558970210417noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9095378.post-7908194686198209552010-11-24T22:23:00.003+08:002010-11-24T22:34:24.233+08:0024/11/10Dear Diary,

Today I had a very good day. On page one, I wrote about me going to Hershy's Choclate World; now I am going to write about what I saw and bought.

Once i entered Hershy's choclate World, I started to look around, I found a giagantic choclate bar that was about 50.5cm abd weighed 9.0kg. At first, I thought it was a fake choclate bar then i realised it was real; I was shocked to see such a big bar of choclate! I said "That is the biggest choclate bar I have ever seen!" And my mouth fell open, while my mouth was still wide open, my mummy saw a fake pillow choclate she said I wan to buy this and she went to pay for it.

While she was paying I found a box of cocoa powder, it has a recipie on it so I took it to my mummy and told her "I want to buy this" And she said of course you may.Joey Khor Jia Enhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02219884558970210417noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9095378.post-8853615496156249442010-09-11T15:05:00.004+08:002010-09-11T15:30:58.093+08:009 July 2010Dear Diary, today was a totally new experiance for me; first I went for a show. You can view our photos here http://www.flickr.com/photos/joeykhor/sets/72157624324404504/

For Joey, it must have been a great holiday. I can't say the same for me and dear hubby.

The hubs was telling our cousins all about mauritius - the not so good bits - and Joey immediately jumped to the country's defence

Wee Siong:"I'm not a sun, sand and surf person, so Mauritius wasn't fun for me"
Joey:"But, the the place has golden sandy beaches!"

Wee Siong:"The sea water was freaking cold!"
Joey:"But, it's crystal clear!"

So i conclude that the fault does not lie with the country... it's US... it's just a holiday destination that's not suited for us, but for those who loves to be sunkissed, Mauritius may just be the perfect holiday destination for you :)Joey Khor Jia Enhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02219884558970210417noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9095378.post-88131803507732533292010-05-29T15:07:00.002+08:002010-05-29T15:16:41.796+08:00Sun, Sea and SandWe'll be holidaying in Mauritius in 2 weeks time. How did we end up going to Mauritius when both Wee Siong and I are certainly not Sand, Sea and Sun people?

The story goes like this. Phuket was planned and paid for. Then came the Red Shirt drama in Bangkok and my ever so cautious husband decided that it was a bad idea to be in Thailand and so we cancelled it.

We would like to visit Gold Coast again, while our friends suggested mauritius. So we decided to let Joey make the decision. My question was totally biased..

Mommie:"Joey, do you want to go to the Gold Coast? There's cartoon network world which is totally like disneyland! Or do you want to go to Mauritius where it's just the boring beach?"

Joey:"Mauritius of course! I've been to disneyland so many times, i've only been to the beach twice!"

And so, this is how we ended up with airtickets to fly west instead of down under!Joey Khor Jia Enhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02219884558970210417noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9095378.post-40097652800291445072010-05-29T14:54:00.003+08:002010-05-29T15:06:36.564+08:00At the traffic junctionWe were waiting at a traffic junction, when Joey pointed to the coach next to us and said

"I think i will need one of these for my family!"

About 6 months ago, she has made up her mind that she'll have 4 kids.

She has everything planned out. She'll live in a mansion with 3 rooms, 1 room for her husband and her, 2 bedrooms for her 4 girls to share and 1 room or the maids.

So my question to her was, where's mommy and daddy's place in the mansion? She replied after some thought "Oh... since daddy likes kids so much, you two can sleep with the kids."

Ah.. so i better be content to be a visitor next time. My little girl has decided that she will not stay with us. To me, it's perfectly ok but i know her daddy is heartbroken! hahaJoey Khor Jia Enhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02219884558970210417noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9095378.post-3899068905985651522010-03-23T21:52:00.002+08:002010-03-23T22:14:13.267+08:00Life is Great!Hello world! It has been months since i've last updated my blog. As you know my mom has been masquerading as me for the past 6 years and now that i'm able to read and write, she will soon hand this blog over to me. But before that, she'll like to make 1 last post in my name to tell you all about the happenings between November till now.

In the last update, i spoke about chicken pox. It has been a harrowing 3 months for me and my friends as we took turns getting the pox. The cycle finally ended at Uncle Karl who really suffered a lot. My apologies everyone!

In november, I had the most wonderful graduation ceremony at Sentosa. Ah Mah, Kong Kong, Jamie, PoPo , Daddie and Mommie were there to witness the end of another chapter of my life. We performed Cats to roaring applause. It was most memorable. Many thanks to Odyssey, Teacher Patrick and Sun Laoshi for your guidance. I love you all!

Then came December. It was a busy busy month for my folks (and the maids). We packed 110 boxes and moved from Cantonment to Simei. We miss the convenince of staying at the heart of the city but loved the large space we have in Simei. I now have my own room complete with a princess bed, slide and canopies. And space for a pet dog too! Well, i guess it's a good trade off and I have no complains

January, a huge milestone for me, I started Primary school education at Radin Mas. Ask if i enjoy school? School's great everyday! I'm getting used to the routine and settling in well. One thing Odyssey has taught me - Learn to enjoy learning - AND, that's exactly what I'm doing at school :)

February whizzed past with Chinese New Year celebration parties and visits.

March is a month of holidays. We went fishing at Mersing with Julia and BQ. We had a great time! The next week, Mommie, Sati, Jamie and I headed to Macau and Hongkong for a short holiday. We shopped, ate and played the whole time, till we were totally exhausted. We went to kids' city twice in a day and watched Zaia (Cirque du soleil). Then we went to Disneyland and did some shopping at my mom's favourite shopping spot - Citigate. The next day was spent in Macau, shopping and eating. It was fun all around!

Next, we will be heading to Phuket in June. I shall do my own updates then.... watch this space!Joey Khor Jia Enhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02219884558970210417noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9095378.post-57260988434080327152009-11-27T10:24:00.002+08:002009-11-27T10:27:48.715+08:00Bye Bye SpotsYay! I'm officially off chicken pox today, but the episode left behind some "battle scars" which i hope will fade away with time.

I'm truly excited because i've recovered just in time for one of the most important event of my life - The Graduation ceremony.

I'll be posting pictures and videos next. Stay tuned!Joey Khor Jia Enhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02219884558970210417noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9095378.post-23045840316360561402009-11-19T09:07:00.002+08:002009-11-19T09:12:10.974+08:00Spot SpottyI'm poxed out! Chicken pox, that is. Daddie found some spots on my body on Monday night and announced that I've got chicken pox. What fantastic timing? And why do i say so?

- It came after my ballet exams.
- I'll not be missing Yamaha coz this week happens to be a holiday week
- Chinese lesson with Sun Laoshi is cancelled because she has PTC in school
- I'll recover just in time for my concert! It's about a pair of pandas who will be coming to Singapore in 2011. I'm a big panda fan! Love their cute face and rotund body!

After reading through the news article. I told mommie that i will name the 1 year old female panda MiMi and the 2 year old male panda Lulu :)

Now, how you do like these 2 names?Joey Khor Jia Enhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02219884558970210417noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9095378.post-24496092208228162412009-10-17T09:52:00.003+08:002009-10-17T10:38:20.954+08:00Jon and Kate plus 8 and a DogWatching Jon and Kate plus 8 has become a regular weekend morning activity for me and mom

In today's episode, it was about the family getting a pair of puppies for Xmas. This is exactly what we'll do too when we move to our new house.

They were showing the family choosing dogs and deciding between german sheperds and another breed. Mommie who is interested in getting a German sheperd complained that the cameras were just showing the kids and not the dogs. So I had to remind her that "this is a show about the kids not the dogs. Of course you see the kids more than the dogs!"

we also had a discussion on the number of dogs we should get. Our discussion was going no where coz mommie insisted on 1 and I wanted 2 or more. I decided that I'll give in and agree to one but came up with a brilliant idea "I'll let the dog get lost and come back with a wife and baby. Then I'll have 3 dogs!"

The score:-
Joey 1 vs Mommie 0Joey Khor Jia Enhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02219884558970210417noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9095378.post-56017683586658471452009-09-28T12:02:00.003+08:002009-10-03T10:36:56.934+08:00Start the ball rolling again...It's terrible terrible! I've not updated this blog for 1 whole month... time to get my act together...

Since the last update, i've done lots things:-

1) Fishing at Mersing

This happened in August during the National Day break. It's a short break for me and my classmates, Julia and Felicia. It's the first time i've caught a fish too! Though the kelong is spartan, but with a bunch of good friends, time whizzed by and we are left yearning for more kelong escapades!

2) Yamaha class concert

It's my second concert since i started at Yamaha exactly a year ago. I've improved (though far from perection) ever since my folks invested in a piano for me. Here's a snippet of my performance.

3) School activities

Odyssey is an amazing school! It's the best decision mommie has ever made when she moved me from Etonhouse to this school. Well, truth be told - I may not be academically better than others but i've learnt something important that not all schools can offer - An opportunity to learn to enjoy learning in a stimulating environment!

The sports day was awesome! It was so professionally organised, one would mistake it for a primary school sports day!

Then we had a cultural experience day where we learnt to sing "Shan Ge" and dance the bamboo dance! We also had the opportunity to pick up calligraphy and took lessons in chinese Wushu!

Getting ready to perform a scarf dance

One of the other exciting event was the Art Exhibition at the Arts House. Our aboriginal art and other art pieces were on display and the proceed from the sale went to the Children's Society. We were taught that there are many kids out there who do enjoy the same quality of education that we have, they may also not have the money to buy food or books. The money that we've raised for them will go a long way.

A Piece of Aboriginal Art we did - It's not for sale

Preparing for Primary 1 - Odyssey does a good job preparing us for the next biggest chapter in our lives. The move from kindergarten to a Primary school. Our teachers inviting parents, and primary school kids to share with us their school going experience and we had the chance to ask them all the questions that we have.

We also simulated a canteen, where we learnt to count and buy snacks with our money.

COMING UP NEXT...

The last 3 months of this year will be an exciting one for me. There's the graduation concert to look forward to, where we will be performing Cats and Saturday Night Fever at Sentosa, a Farewell Party, My SuperStarz themed Birthday Party and....... We are moving to a new house. One with a lot more space for us to roam around, to climb up and down and cycle around.Joey Khor Jia Enhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02219884558970210417noreply@blogger.com0
