Day Out with Cousins

Last Sunday, we have planned to visit the zoo with Daren and Mabel but Daddie and Mommie decided that it would be a better idea to go for a swim instead since the weather was so hot. So, off we went to Auntie Sumin's house for a dip in the pool.

Swimming with my cousins was fun! The folks have decided that all of us should go for swimming lessons... now it's mommie's task to look for a swim school that will take the 3 of us.

After the swim, Auntie Sumin read us a Dora book. Mabel is a fan of Dora and Little Einstein too! Auntie Sumin is a natural storyteller, her stories are so captivating and engaging. Now we know why Daren is such a good reader from 3 years old.

I love playing with my cousin.. we'll be meeting again in 3 weeks time at Ah Kong's house. I want to introduce them to my dog Chardonnay. I'm sure they will have fun playing with him.

An Entreprenuerial Spirit?

Kong Kong: Joey, let's sell away Daddie or Mommie. Then we will have money to go to Disneyland!
ME: Noooooooooooooo!
Kong Kong: Who should we sell then?
ME: I will sell away my shoes. I've got a lot of them and some are too small!

Doing my part for charity?

Inspired by the charity show on tv, i did my own rendition of a fan dance. No rehearsals, no second takes.

Who's the fairest of them of all?

Mommie was watching one of her Hong Kong drama serials when she asked me ...

Mommie: Joey, who is more handsome? Daddie or the man in the show?
Joey: Ermm... Daddie!

*mommie seemed satisfied with my answer and she continued....

Mommie: Joey, who is prettier? Mommie or the lady in the show?
Joey: Ermm....................... ME!

You Trick Me Not, Daddie!

Daddie smartie pants has been trying (in vain) to wean me off his arms. The guy's been "conjuring" all sorts of tricks to get me to walk. These days, he'll let go of me suddenly and I'll be left clinging on as tightly as I can to him like a koala to a tree.

Yesterday, he posed me this question....

Daddie: Joey, which way is easier for you? Clinging onto me or walking?

ME : Hmmm.... carrying me is easier!

Ha! Wanna outsmart me?! You've got to try harder Daddie.

Happy Birthday to my Daddie's Daddie

We had a little birthday party for Ah Kong last night. I got Daddie to make a dinner reservation at my favourite restaurant (I love their lobster bisque!), went shopping for Ah Kong's birthday cake and drew him a birthday card decorated with some stickers.

We were all ready to leave for dinner when i felt that something was still missing..... Oh Gosh! I forgot to get Ah Kong a birthday present!! Since there was no time to buy a gift, i decided to part with my favourite bunny puzzle, wrapped it up in "fancy paper" (which were actually scraps of paper i found around the house) and gave it to Ah Kong.

The bunny puzzle is something which i really like alot. I hope Ah Kong will enjoy playing with it as much as i did.


Lobster bisque is a must have whenever we have dinner here.


The ice-cream cake i chose for my favourite Grandpa!
