Icy-creamy Ice-Cream, What a Treat!

*yawn* I open my eyes from my evening nap. I see mommie holding on to a snazzy drum and a colourful ice-cream toy! The drum is something i've been dreaming of for a long time.

Maybe mommie is tired of seeing me drumming away on my miserable looking old Chinese New Year biscuit tin and crooked balloon sticks?

Oh! And the Ice-cream toy is a real "treat"! It comes in 8 deliciously colourful flavours and 2 cones.

I can't believe my eyes ... better rub them a few more times and hope that this is not a dream.... *yawn*... Zzzz....

Let me take a bite to see if it's real!Anyone for a cool dessert?

We Are Singing In The Rain

We had no where to go on Easter Friday as it was raining cats and dogs. BUT in order to keep us (mommie was particularly restless) entertained, Daddie came up with a great idea... we pretended to be storm chasers! So, we put on our storm chasing gear and bravely headed out onto the streets of Singapore in seach of the big big floods!

We had a good start.. our carpark was flooded up to daddie's ankles. We couldn't even get into our car without first having to trudge through the waters. "It's a raging river out there" squealed Mommie excitedly. The adults happily kicked water to test their slip resistant crocs (it works - they said).

Next, we wanted to try out the 4WD capabilities of our car. We found the perfect location - the road outside the railway station - which had a huge puddle of water. Daddie sped through the puddle creating a giant splash! We were so excited, we went round and did it again a few more times.

Daddie wanted to look try out Singapore's most flooded areas, but unfortunately we could find none. We tried Havelock road and low lying areas like Lower Delta but by the time we reached there, the rain has stopped and water receded.

Mommie read in the papers that East Coast was badly affected by the floods. Her eyes gleemed when she saw on TV that the water level was so high it stalled many cars! Now, we know where we can go the next time the big rain comes again.

My folks are upset that it didn't rain today although they see dark clouds looming above.. Let's hope the rain comes again tomorrow so the Trio Storm Chasers can get into action again.

Laughter's the Best Medicine

A naughty coughing bug has lodged itself inside me and making me sick. I could hardly sleep at night because of the bad hacking cough. It has given me a fever too.

Doctor Mabel has prescribed me with a colourful assortment of medicine. They come in yummy flavours of Blue Berries, Orangey Carrot, Green Lime and Yellow Banana. Yummy, i love the taste of my medication. I even faked a cough or two so that Mommie can give me more.. but she stands firm that i will only get to drink them 3 times a day :(

Mommie is prescribing me a different concoction called "Laughter". She says it's the Best Medicine in the world!

Here're the ingredients:-

  • 3 Chunks of Barney CDs
  • 2 Spoonful of Play Pretend Fun
  • 3 Teaspoon of Tickles and Chuckles
  • 1 Large Bowl of Giggles
  • 4 Generous servings of Love
  • Mix all the above up and garnish with A dash of sunshine

Storytelling and a book

After Julia Gabriel class today, Mommie and Indogal brought me to a really huge bookshop (they call Borders) to listen to a storytelling. It was a story about 5 chinese brothers. I was so captivated by the story, i listened intently and didn't move an inch for the entire 20 mins!

As for mommie, something else caught her attention. It was a book called "Grandpa's Briefcase" which was placed on the shelf right opposite where we were seated. Mommie bought it and it is the best book i've even read (with mommie's help, of course)! The book is really fun, with lots of activities and pull out gadgets. I'll recommend this book to all my little friends, anytime. Hmm... I can't wait for Ah Kong to come by tomorrow to show him the book . I wonder if he carry the same items in his briefcase!

Teacher Sam told mommie that there is a second book in this series titled "Granny's Purse". Mommie, can you buy me that, please?

A New School, A New Learning Experience

Did i tell you that Mommie has switched me from JWT Gym to Julia Gabriel? Well, it's a welcomed move, considering that i've been with JWT Gym for 1 year, it is high time i moved on to a new environment in seek of new learning.

Although there are no tunnels for me to crawl through, no bars for me to hang onto and no trampoline to bounce on, I still find Julia Gabriel really fun! There's storytelling, dancing, songs and best of all, yummy snacks! Each week, we are supposed to go to class dressed in a theme. Today's theme is "Orange". Mommie had a hard time finding me an orange top.. so we had to be content with a white t-shirt with Orange wordings. Daddie was happy! He gets to wear his favourite Orange T-shirt to class with me. The theme for next week is "Apple"... so i guess it's mommies turn to show up in her favourite RED t-shirt!

Exciting Year Ahead

Mommie and Daddie has my year all planned out. Looking at the activities - and if all goes well - i think it'll be real fun!

April - My first visit to the cinema. I heard they are taking me to watch Ice Age 2.

May- 5 of my friends from downunder are coming to town! We'll be watching them perform at the afternoon matinee on 27 May. Mommie managed to get us first row seats (my only hope is that the stage will not be too high)! ......... 1, 2, 3, 4, Hi 5!

June - School Term begins. Mommie has been procrastinating for too long. Finally, she has made up her mind, and looks like i'll be starting school in June. I'm psyching myself for this coz i heard that mommie cannot be in school with me and i have to learn to be independent.

July - Fatty Gramps, Mommie and Mighty Mouth heads to Japan for summer holidays! Ok, i'm really looking forward to this. Mommie says she's taking me to the "Happiest Place on Earth" - Disneyland. I'll get to meet Mickey and Minnie again - and this time without their ice skates on.

August- Off to the Zoo. Daddie and Mommie redeemed their Shell escape points for 6 months zoo membership. Whoppi... that means i can go to the zoo for as many times as i like once we receive the card, till the end of the year! Hmm.. I shall ask Postman Pat, if he has seen a letter address to me from the kind people at the Zoo.

October / November - Daddie's planning for a big family holiday to Xiamen in China. This trip is a little challenging coz we are hoping that Auntie Su Ann, Auntie Su Ping, Uncle Alan, Jiejie Nikkolette, Ah Kong and Ah Mak can come along too. Ah Kong doesn't allow Daddie to leave the office for too long.. so it will have to a short but sweet holiday. Am keeping my little digits crossed... hope that our "inaugural" Khor family trip materialises :)
