Sparkling Korea

I'm back from Sparkling Korea. It has been 8 days of wholesome family fun, with lots of laughter, tumble and rumble.

Highlights of the holiday will be posted here as soon as mommie can get her act together. For now, she claims that she can only muster enough strength to type this 3 liner and then pull herself into bed.

A Crazy Crazy Weekend

It was a crazy crazy saturday last week. From the moment i opened my eyes, it was one event after another till 12 midnite! Ok ok.... this kind of lifestyle is not exactly the best for kids my age. But then, aren't school holidays suppose to be fun and care free?

This was my schedule...

Morning 9am - Head to Cathay Picturehouse for an early weekend movie "Mr Magorium's Wonder Emporium". It was a truly boring show, but thankfully, the popcorn and generous servings of Coca Cola saved the day!

Afternoon 2pm - Mommie threw a kiddie Xmas Party over at Fatty Gramp's house. There were lots of games. Totally loved the pinata and "snow"! Most exciting of all was the guest appearance by Father Xmas.. who was none other than my Daddie dearest himself!

Evening 6.30pm - Because the morning movie was such a let down, mommie felt that we should be "compensated" with another movie.. so off we went to catch "Alvin and the Chipmunks". It was hilarious to see the singing and dancing chipmunks. Mommie said this movie brought back wonderful memories of her childhood days!

Late evening 9pm - After watching the movie, I wanted to be a chipmunk too. I insisted on having waffles for dinner. So, we found ourselves pigging out at Swenson's Vivocity. I had waffle and strawberry ice-cream. Daddie pampered himself with big chunks of meat and milkshake. We also shared 2 big plates of beetroot while Mommy wrinkled her nose in disgust. Mummy just doesn't get it. I can still here her saying :"What's so nice about beetroot?!!". Daddy and my simple answer: "Yummy!!!".

Midnite Madness 2359 - Mommie "complained" that the meal at Swenson's made her feel fat and she needed a workout. She had to do some brisk walking and weightlifting... So she sent Daddie, Sati and Me home, while she went about with her "exercise". I heard that she came home the next morning feeling completely satified and lighter (read: spiritually satisfied, wallet lighter)

I can't, I can't, I did it!

After almost 12 months of cold storage, Daddie blew the cloud of dust off my skates and let me try them on again. And boy! What a big difference these 12 months make.

Then, i could barely stand let alone skate

And now...

I can balance and even walk a few steps! Daddie says it'll still be a long time before i can really skate, but it's certainly a positive step forward :)

Tugging at Heartstrings

I almost caused a diasaster yesterday and it was all because i said this one simple sentence

"DAD, YOU ARE THE BEST!"

Upon hearing this, Daddie asked mommie if she could see his head swell to the point of explosion! Oh daddie, i didn't mean to kill you!

Ah Mah's Birthday

We celebrated Ah Mah's birthday at Tanah Merah on Sunday. The food was the worst we had at that restaurant so far, but the company and wine *hic* was great!

Happy Birthday Ah Mah! Hope you like the camera we bought for you!
(p.s. erm... please remember you said you will share the camera with me)

Ah mah's birthday cake. Looks like her doesn't it?

Here's a kiss for the birthday girl.

The family's favorite dessert - bomb Alaska

No doubt abt it... it's my favourite dessert. Bombs away!!

Another great family gathering brought to you by the Khors!

Farmer Joey's Garden

Mommie came home with an interesting goodie bag last friday. In it, there was a packet of dirt, a little baby pot and some mystery seeds. This reminded me of my Little Einstein storybook "Farmer Annie's Garden"! I wanted do what Annie did... plant the seeds, give it lots of water, sunshine and love, and watch it grow!

So here's the little green thumbs at work.. i can't wait to see what these mysterious seeds will grow into. Will it be some musical instruments, fruits or flowers? To find out, stay tuned!

The dirt, pott and mystery seeds

Step 1: Mix the seeds into the dirt

Step 2: Water it... but wait!!! I think my watering can is too big.. It'll drown out my mystery seed

Ok.. this watering can looks better. Now i just need to give my mystery seed, some sunshine and love.. and watch it grow.. Grow.. GROW....

Baby Prom

Thanks to Auntie Sumin, we got tickets to the highly acclaimed BB Prom. Like my old man, i'm a music junkie.. i enjoy all genre of music from nursery rhymes to funky pop to classicals. Take a journey with me in my (ahem.. i mean mommie's) car and you will get to experience this "junkie'ness".

Back to the proms. it was a fun experience for me coz the whole session was really interactive. I jived to the beat of the music, hopped up and down and even went up on stage to see the orchestra in live in action!

Wanna know what's my favourite instrument now? It's the violin.... but no... my parents have no plans to sign me up for any music classes yet coz they know as well as I do that my interest changes as quickly as the direction of the wind.

Pre-concert event. We were introduced to different types of instruments. There were brass, woodwind, percussion and string instruments.

Up on stage with the orchestra.

Chitty Chitty Bang Bang

I attended my first full scale musical last week. I enjoyed most parts of it EXCEPT for the last few scenes of the nasty child catcher! My favorite part was when the dogs came running into the factory. I saw a golden retriever which looked just like chardonnay! I told daddie about this and he seemed surprised that they will allow such big dogs on stage. Oh! and it was truly amazing to see the car fly too!!

During the intermission, we had a jolly good time at the souvenir stand choosing souveniers to "commemorate" my first musical experience:) And now, like the Potts siblings, Jemima and Jeremy, I announce that I'm the proud owner of my very own Chitty Chitty Bang Bang car - albeit a tiny one.
