My First Clickstart Computer

To keep me away from their computers, Daddie and Mommie bought me a leapfrog clickstart computer. It's really fun and i'm enjoying every moment of it. This mean machine keeps my little hands busy and mommie is pleased that she can now read her magazines and do her own things in peace!

Warmest Greetings for the Season

Just doing my part for Christmas. Handmade X'mas gift cards with love from Joey!

First, choose you choose a stencil, then you paint, paint, paint.

Viola! My handmade cards.

Just me & my pals

I always enjoy the company of Kendra and Edythe. This picture was taken at Hog's Breath after our outing to the movies.

Mosquito in the making?

I witnessed mommie giving Sati $50 today... and i fired a barrage of questions at her:-

Me: Why is mommie giving you money? Are you going out?
Sati: Yes
Me: Where are you going?
Sati: errr....
Me: Who are you going out with?
Sati: My friend
Me: Your friend?? What's her name?
Mommie: Joey, stop being a kaypoh!

Ok, I know Daddie's the one who pays her salary.. but since he's not in Singapore now, i'm asking on his behalf.

I feel i may just have what it takes to be a mosquito like daddie. Don't know what i'm talking about - then obviously you've not watched the Bee Movie *wink*

我的本领是。。。

孙老师 read us a book about a 小鹿 and his 本领. The moral of the story according to 孙老师 is,我们每一个人都有自己的本领。Then she asked us, "小朋友,你们的本领是什么?”

I was the first to put up my hand and answered.........

“我的本领是讲话!我可以讲很多很多话。”

Somehow, i don't think my folk can dispute this 本领 of mine. Hey, I can't help it that i've inherited daddie's talk non-stop genes, can I? And, mommie should be happy that i can speak in complete chinese sentences now.

Fish Doctor

Daddie and Mommie had ran out of ideas on what to do today. We've considered going to the zoo, but we've just visited it on Thursday. The night safari? Doesn't open till 6.30pm.

Then, while sitting at the cafe and flipping through the papers, they chanced upon this article on Spa Fish and decided there and then that we will go experience the fish spa treatment today.

It was really crowded at Qianhu Aquarium and since we had to wait about an hour for our turn, we decided to feed the koi fish and do some longkang fishing too.

The spa fish experience was really fun even though i had only 1 fish nibbling on my leg. Daddie and Mommie had dozens of them sucking on their legs. Now you know who has got lots of dead skin! My follks are really addicted to it.... we'll be going to sentosa to try out the "higher class" one next sunday :)

Feeding koi fish to pass time

Let's try some longkang fishing

Now's my turn

Come fishy fishy.... (hmm.. please pardon daddie's hairy legs and mommie's pig trotters)

STARS research

Mommie and Daddie signed me up for the STARS research programme. STARS stands for "A Study on Strabimus, Amblyopia and Refractive Error in Singapore Preschoolers". It's too complicated for me to understand but in gist, it is to help the eye doctors find out why more and more children my age need glasses to see clearly. According to the doctor, about 60% (mommie heard 90% but daddie insisted it's 60%) of the us will need to wear glasses by the time we enter Primary 1.

My role in this reasearch is to tell them more about my lifestyle like how much TV i watch (oppss.. it's an obscene number of hours), how much time i spend outdoors, reading, playing etc, and sit through a series of tests to check my eyesight.

At the end of the research, i got a goodie bag and a packet of milk as a reward. As for Daddie and Mommie, they received a report on my eye check and $20 which they've refused to accept and asked for the money to be pumped back into this research so that more kids can benefit from it :)

The result: Eyesight is good, no glasses needed and we hope it'll stay this way for as long as can be.

This research will end in July 2009.

I have to read out the alphabet flashed on the wall. Luckily i know my A-B-Cs!

Which is my dominant eye?

Can i see the 3-dimensional picture? Nope...

Looking out for the coloured dots.

This is my kaypoh daddie who wants to see what i saw

The eyedrops administered. 5 drops in total.

I did not flinch when the eyedrops were administered. No pain, no discomfort. With this special glasses, i can see the 3d pictures now!

Who's the hungry caterpillar

Did a stocktake of my footwear this morning and this is the result

The record shows 35 pairs of shoes, excluding identical ones in larger sizes and those which are still "hiding" in Ah Ma's house.

Guess it's time to reduce these numbers by giving away some to my 1 year old auntie reinee :)
