Mommie and I had this bedtime talk last night...

Joey: I have a pouch to carry my babies next time
Mommie: No you don't you are a mammal. Only marsupials have pouches to carry their babies.
Joey: Like kangeroos? Then what is a mammal?
Mommie: Mammals are animals which give birth to babies instead of laying eggs
Joey: Mommie you are not a mammal because you lay eggs inside your tummy and when daddie give you a seed, the egg will hatch into Jamie!

Against all odds

Announcing my promotion in the Khor family hierarchy. I'm gonna be a BIG SISTER in October when my baby sister Jamie is born.

I've been feeling disappointed for a month when Dr Ann told my parents to expect a baby boy. I wanted a baby sister! And so, i wish very hard for a baby sister everday and guess what? When mommie went for her ultrasound yesterday, my baby brother has turned in a Baby sister. My wish has come true!!

I guess i'm a truly blessed one. I've once wished for a portable dvd player to watch my Diego DVDs and Daddie won just that in a lucky draw.

Then there was this time we went horseriding and i said i wish i could ride on a white horse instead of a brown one, and just as my turn came, the groom changed the tired looking brown horse to a white one!

A few months back, i wished for a little sibling and not long after, mommie announced that she's pregnant!

Now i wished for a baby sister and viola, i got myself a baby sister! :)

So, here's a message for my darling parents... "Wishing against me is a waste of time"

Mind your language

I think my mommie's standard of english is atrocious.... her prounciation leaves a lot to be desired:-

Joey: Mommie, can you take me and Sati to the beach?
Mommie: What do you want to go to the bitch?
Joey: I want to build sandcastles on the beach
Mommie: The bitch is very dirty you know. Why don't you ask Daddie if he wants to go?
Joey: Mommie..... it's BEACH..... not BITCH.. sigh

It's Magic!

Have you ever seen a magic show where the magician coughed or sneezed into his hands and a gold coin magically appears??

I did a similar "magic" trick this morning too.... except that, in place of a gold coin (which i know ah kong will be so happy to see), a piece of crayon came out of my nose. No applause from the adults and they didn't think it was funny either. I got an earful from them instead. I was also made to promise never to stuff things in my nose again.

Wedding Bells

Our family attended a beautiful wedding last Saturday near Fort Canning. The nice garden setting was really romantic and the lunch in the old colonial styled house was sumptuous! Daddie and Mommie is contemplating celebrating Jamie's 1st month here with a bouncy castle set up at the garden area. Let's hope the venue is available when Jamie's born, coz i'm sure jamie.. err i mean I will enjoy the bouncy castle while the adults chill out at the reception.
