What is Happiness?

I woke up one morning to this conversation with Daddie....

Daddie:"Happiness is being able to cuddle my pudge in the morning and kissing you!"*muacks*. What's happiness to you, Jojo?

Joey: "Happiness to me is a flying ice-cream and lots of stuffies".

* For those of you who are not familiar with my jojo lingo, pudge is my other nickname while stuffies is the collective term for my stuff animals.

Jamie at 27 weeks

Look how much Jamie has grown in 4 weeks. This is my sister in mommie's tummy at 27 weeks. Can you see her chubby cheeks? We'll be seeing Jamie again this Saturday. I'm so looking forward to it. Just 8 more weeks and i will officially inherit the title of BIG SISTER JOEY.

Question...

Ah Kong was feeding me fruits over dinner yesterday when he started his story on "Where did fruits come from?" ....

Ah Kong:"Fruits come from trees. When a bigger animal picks the fruit from a tree, some of the fruits will drop to the ground and the little animals will eat them. These small animals will poo poo the seeds out and after a while, the seed will grow into another fruit tree."

Joey:"So Ah Kong, where did the FIRST fruit tree come from?"

Ah Kong:
*stumped!*

Does anyone have an answer for this?

Sharing with Jamie

Being the nice big sister that i am, i decided to share some of the candies I found in Kota Saito's birthday party goodie bag with Jamie. There are 2 dinosaur jellies....

Joey:"Jamie, there's a purple one and a orange one, which one do you want?"

Mommie responding on behalf of Jamie: "Hmm.. i think she'll like the purple one."

Joey:"Purple?? But i like purple! Hmm...she can have the orange one instead!"

National Day Celebration

Time whizzes past so fast, it didn't seem too long ago when i had to wear red and white to school to celebrate the national day. This national day, mommie realised that i didn't have any red and white apparel that will fit me, EXCEPT for this dress that Mabel gave to me sometime ago. Problem is, she couldn't find it and remembered that it was soiled and is in Ah Kong's house. I gave Ah Kong an emergency SOS call and he got my one and only white and red dress, washed-dried-ironed and delivered at 11.30pm the nite before! Thank you Ah Kong!!

here are ome photos and a video of my national day performance with my classmates in 2008.

High School Musical on Ice

After 3 months of anticipation, i finally got to watch Disney's High School Musical on Ice yesterday. It was a truly spectacular performance, very different from the usual minnie, mickey on ice. Theatrics were good, music was great, pyrotechnic was fantastic! It was almost like an indoor fireworks. The music was something i'm very familiar with and my cousins and I could sing along to most of the songs.

I'm so inspired by the skating, i can't wait to step into the skating rink again to practice. Someday, i hope to be as good as the performers!

Good news!! Daddie has agreed to a Princess on Ice Birthday Party for me this year. Now, that's something new and exciting to look forward to this year end!

My classmates, Yi Ting and Yishu are at the show too!

Of Flowers and Gardens

Since mommie was working at the Singapore Garden Festival, i took the opportunity to visit the festival thrice. First time was with daddie and my cousins, then it was Fatty Gramps and Sati and finally with Ah Kong and Ah Mah.

My favourite part of the festival must be the Clarins learning garden. Mommie and Daddie left me and Mabel there for 30 mins and we had lots of fun engaging in board games and learning about plants and nature.

Mommie also bought me boxes of instant vegetables which i can grow and eat in 7 days! Will post more pics of my instant vegetables when they are fully grown.

Meanwhile here's a pic of me and my cousins enjoying the Garden Festival.

Adelaide - the final post

I thought i should better quickly finish my adelaide travelogue quickly before i forget all those memorable and fun moments.

The final 2 days of our trip passed very quickly. We had enjoyed ourselves so much, we almost didn't want to come home - mommie was secretly wishing that the qantas strike will affect us, "forcing" us to stay another day or 2 before we could get a flight home. BUT.. no such luck.. There were many qantas flights that were cancelled but NOT ours! sigh...

Anyway, back to the trip. On the 2nd last day, we drove past the Maclaren Valley to Victor Habour. It's one of the highlights of our trip. Mommie and Daddie had promised to take me on a horse drawn carriage and experience a penguine parade. While waiting for the horse carriage to arrive, we also took the chance to visit the whale musuem. The horse carriage ride, though uneventful, was a truly unique experience for me.

In the evening, daddie, mommie and I trekked granite island and witnessed the beautiful sunset. We were back at the cafe in time for the penguine parade. It was a little disappointing that we didn't get to see many penguines. We were told that a lot of these poor little animals were being eaten up by seals.

After the penguine tour, it was a long and VERY windy walk along the jetty back to mainland where our car was parked.

We ended our day with chinese takeaway from chinatown.

The last day was spent leisurely at Glenelg and Rundel Street Market. Rundel is a very colourful street market and they even had fairies and free face painting to keep us kids entertained.

Glenelg is a quaint town with a beautiful beach. Lunch was at the HMS Baffalo which is a museum cum restuarant. Food was great! I love mommie's chicken fillet with lobster sauce.. Yummy!

Mommie and I spent the afternoon at the beach while daddie went for a massage.

We concluded our trip with a sumptious dinner with my cousins. It has been a very good trip for everyone. It will be a long while before we will be going on a family holiday again.

One thing for sure, our next holiday will be a wintery one (mommie and daddie have already bought winter clothing for jamie). So will it be New York or Hokkaido?
